Joining our core lineup is Rewild, a bright, zesty West Coast pale ale brewed with intention and inspired by the wild places that sustain us. Crafted with purpose, Rewild supports regenerative tree-planting initiatives focused on restoring and rewilding natural habitats.
Through our commitment to 1% For the Planet, Rewild supports our non-profit environmental partner, WILDCOAST, and its efforts to protect and restore Mexico’s mangrove forests. These ecosystems play an important role in supporting biodiversity and strengthening coastal environments.
About WILDCOAST
WILDCOAST is an international team that works to protect oceans, coastlines, and marine species through community-driven initiatives. By collaborating with local communities, organizations, and agencies, their programs combine research, hands-on protection, monitoring, and education to create meaningful, long-term impact for coastal and marine ecosystems and nearby communities.
Our Coastal Superheroes

Mangroves are among the world’s greatest carbon-sequestering ecosystems. These remarkable sea forests sit along coastlines, absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere and storing it within their rich, underwater soils. Mangroves can store up to five times more effectively than terrestrial forests. Because of this, mangroves play an important role in helping to mitigate the effects of climate change.
Beyond carbon storage, mangroves act as natural barriers. Their dense root systems help shield delicate coastlines from storm surges, coastal flooding, and wave erosion. In a world of rising sea levels, these forests provide essential protection for coastal communities and vital habitat for the sea life that lives among their root systems.
Planting for the Future

Despite their importance, mangroves are disappearing at a rapid rate due to coastal development, agricultural expansion, and deforestation. When these forests are lost, the carbon they’ve collected and stored is released back into the atmosphere. As a result, the habitats that support countless marine species are destroyed or disrupted.
WILDCOAST is currently protecting over 50,000 acres of mangrove forests in northwest Mexico. They have planted over 292,500 mangroves so far, with a goal to plant 35,000 more seedlings in 2026. These areas provide a safe haven for gray whales, migratory birds, plus many types of fish and shellfish. WILDCOAST works to keep these vital ecosystems intact and growing, helping support biodiversity for generations to come.
Through this partnership, Pure Project’s Rewild beer supports WILDCOAST’s efforts to expand these protections, create jobs for women in local communities, and continue planting mangrove seedlings to help rewild our planet.
A Toast to Rewilding
At 5% ABV, Rewild delivers a vibrant, resinous snap of Centennial and Citra hops, layered with notes of ruby red grapefruit over a dry, piney finish. Each pint is a bright, crisp reminder of why we protect and give back to the places we love.
Rewild officially joins the Pure Project core lineup on April 6, 2026. Available at all Pure Project taprooms and select retailer locations, this beer celebrates efforts to rewild our coasts and restore natural habitats.
