Off-Premise Field Sales Representative – San Diego

The Off-Premise Field Sales Representative for San Diego County is responsible for developing and managing Off-Premise wholesale accounts while growing the volume and visibility of Pure Project’s products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Focus on increasing the market share of core and seasonal beers through our existing account base and adding new accounts as required.
  • Provide both new and existing accounts with information about product sell-in, brand, quality, package, placement, and presentation.
  • Assist accounts with proper inventory management and quality standards and monitor sell-through per the Pure Project Freshness Agreement.
  • Work with existing accounts on a designated schedule (i.e., weekly, biweekly, monthly) to increase package distribution off-premise and presence in each market.
  • Identify markets within San Diego County that are not being served well and develop plans to establish business relationships with these accounts.
  • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following referrals from clients, beer festivals, and other creative lead generators.
  • Make frequent sales calls to potential off-premise accounts within the assigned territory to build a closer relationship between the account and Pure Project.
  • Achieve profit, volume, and distribution goals on a consistent basis.
  • Work in the Ekos app to create sales invoices and work with our Logistics team to handle deliveries.
  • Keep sales records, and file out expense reports.
  • Communicate updates on key initiatives, what’s working vs what’s not, wins and losses, and tools needed to be successful on a monthly basis.
  • Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items to increase the brand’s visibility.
  • Completely understand and embrace brewery brands and culture and deliver on our mission to the wholesale and retail customers.
  • Plan and execute a promotional calendar and promotional events with key retailers geared towards building sales and distribution.
  • Pour samples at target accounts as needed.
  • Forecast seasonal brand execution and track results.
  • As needed, deliver products to customers.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • 3+ years of recent sales experience working with beer or alcoholic beverages in the San Diego area, chain experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Google Suite Apps, Ekos, Slack, QuickBooks, writing, and email etiquette.
  • Knowledge of IRI/Nielsen syndicated data and Ekos reporting systems.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment; ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends/evenings/holidays/overtime.
  • Strong selling and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of marketing and promotion techniques.
  • Reliable to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills and strong work ethic.
  • Able to multitask, paying attention to account needs and time constraints.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, responsible, and enthusiastic.
  • Extensive understanding of the industry, products, competitors, and pricing strategies.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is desired.
  • Craft beer industry knowledge is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
