About Jarred Matthew:
A performing musician for over a decade, Jarred grew up in Southern California within a family of gospel singers. The tone of his voice is a combination of the bluegrass and gospel songs he grew up singing, and the soul music he grew into as an adult.
Although Jarred is a solo musician, he is usually found playing in a duo with some of San Diego’s most talented musicians. He plays with a guitarist, percussionist, additional vocalist, bassist, and sometimes performs in a full band with brass or in a trio. All of these are options for performances. Jarred plays a variety of musical genres ranging from soul, country, bluegrass, gospel, blues, folk-blues, lounge, folk, pop, R&B, and many others.
