Our next release features a little something for everyone. For the first time ever, we are releasing bottles, cans, and coffee—all at the same time! We’ve got the third in our brand new series of core stouts alongside a special bag of coffee beans—the same beans that were added to the beer. Also for release is the return of our classic Flanders-style red ale, and the comeback of a favorite murky double IPA.
The bottles, cans, and coffee will be released on Thursday, August 5th at all four taproom locations as well as for shipping. Check out all the details below.
Imperial Stout with Coffee & Vanilla
Introducing the third in our new series of core stouts, Situational Gravity. We added organic La Cañada coffee from Oaxaca, Mexico (roasted by our friends at Mostra) and organic Tahitian and Mexican vanilla beans to this imperial stout, resulting in a multi-faceted sensory experience. Aromas of vanilla bean ice cream, dark chocolate, coffee, and blueberry wine give way to flavors of rich chocolate ganache, espresso and caramel amidst a full body and velvety mouthfeel.
Price: $22 / 500ml
Available August 5th at 9am.
Oak Barrel-Aged Flanders Style Red Ale
Presenting batch #6 of our Flanders-style red ale, Roes Red—named after the Belgian town of Roeselare where the style originally developed. This is the first batch aged in our new 1,000-gallon Barolo cask from Italy; the aging process was initiated last year with a 50/50 blend of fresh Roes Red and one-year-old Roes Red, which had previously aged in French oak. The result is a deep red, mahogany-colored ale with notes of oak, cherry, dates, red currants and toast. The complexity of this beer is further driven by Winslow’s proprietary blend of yeast strains—Belgian in origin—which produce sour lactic and acetic characteristics. A fresh take on a classic style, Roes Red is beautifully intricate and delightfully refreshing.
Price: $13 / 375ml
Murky Double IPA with Mosaic Cryo, Motueka, & Amarillo Hops
Retrograde Motion brings together a new hop product (Mosaic Cryo), a new world hop (Motueka), then rewinds with a classic postmodern American hop (Amarillo). This intensely juicy murky double IPA glows with an orange complexion and delivers notes of peach, tangerine, pineapple, and dankness. Enjoy while moving in whatever motion you choose.
Price: $23 / 4-pack
Organic Mexico Oaxaca La Cañada
These organic coffee beans come to us from the Cañada region of Oaxaca, Mexico, where the humidity and altitude create ideal conditions for growing coffee. The beans were grown, washed and sun-dried by our southern neighbors before making their way to San Diego where our friends at Mostra Coffee roasted them for our Situational Gravity imperial stout. Expect a full-bodied dark roast with notes of dulce de leche, chardonnay, and cocoa powder.
Price: $22 / 12oz
