A new batch of Roes Red is here, and this time with a twist. Inspired by Rodenbach Brewery’s Alexander, this latest blend was macerated with organic dark tart cherries and black mulberries; it’s complex and full of fruit flavor. Additionally, our quarterly core stout featuring organic coffee and hazelnuts, Lost Monarch, makes its second annual return.
Both bottles will be released on Thursday, May 12th at all five taproom locations as well as for California shipping. Check out all the details below.
Oak Barrel-Aged Flanders Style Red Ale with Cherries & Mulberries
Presenting our very first fruited batch of Roes Red, our Flanders-style red ale. Inspired by the renowned Rodenbach Alexander beer of Belgium, this new batch features organic Washington dark tart cherries and organic Turkish black mulberries. It is also the second batch of Roes Red to age in Pure Carlsbad’s 1,000-gallon Barolo cask from Italy. The result is a deep burgundy-colored ale with notes of cherry jam, mulberries, red wine sangria, and oak. The complexity of this beer is further driven by Winslow’s proprietary blend of yeast strains—Belgian in origin—which produce sour lactic and acetic characteristics. A fruity twist on a classic style, Roes Red with cherries and mulberries is beautifully intricate and delightfully refreshing.

Imperial Stout with Coffee & Hazelnuts
Lost Monarch, a Pure quarterly core stout, returns for its second annual release. We added organic Costa Rican coffee and organic Oregon hazelnuts to this imperial stout, resulting in a myriad of aromas including dark roast coffee, vanilla bean and hazelnut cream. Flavors of dark chocolate brownie and toasted marshmallow mingle among a medium-full bodied, velvety mouthfeel.
