Imperial Stout with Wild Thai Banana, Cocoa, & Coffee
Meet the Beast Below, our newest imperial stout collaboration with North Park Beer Co. Emerging through its jet-black color is a depth of flavor thanks to the addition of organic Costa Rican coffee, organic Ghanaian cocao, and wild Thai bananas—picked wild in Thailand when almost overripe and dried immediately to retain their sweetness. Expect essences of caramelized banana, toasted pie crust, baker’s chocolate, Café Cubano, and subtle campfire. Despite its velvety mouthfeel, this beauty is stronger than it may seem at first sip.
Price: $26 / 500ml
Available March 3rd at 9am.
Méthode Traditionnelle – 3-Year Blend
Oak Barrel-Aged Sour Beer
Introducing batch #4 of our Méthode Traditionnelle (M.T. III). This blend of one-, two-, and three-year-old spontaneously fermented ales was produced in San Diego county and is inspired by the Belgian process of making traditional lambic. California-grown pilsner malt and raw, unmalted wheat create the foundation of this blend, which was inoculated solely by wild yeast and microorganisms indigenous to the Miramar area and Mt. Laguna during a Pure lambic camping trip. Warm-aged hops added to the boil provide aromas of funk, Asian pear, and earthiness. High levels of carbonation make for a brew that practically dances on your tongue with tastes of fine cork, bready malt and gooseberry. The bright acidity upfront gives way to a smooth and refined finish that is both dry and refreshing.
Price: $17 / 375ml
