Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Sour Red Ale with Cherries & Orange Peel
Introducing our sixth batch of New Fashioned—our take on the whiskey old fashioned. This cocktail-inspired creation is built on an imperial version of our Flanders-style red ale. It’s aged in bourbon barrels from Breckenridge Distillery together with organic dried dark cherries, and topped off with organic Valencia orange peel post-barrel. Aromas of muddled cherry, tangy orange and subtle cinnamon emerge over a bright acidity, followed by flavors of dark aged fruits and oak amidst a soft bourbon sweetness. Classic bourbon cocktail, or beer? This one will satisfy your cravings for both.
