About the Beer & Mission: Building on our previous collaboration with WILDCOAST, Noc-Turtle IPA, which helped raise awareness for sea turtle nest protection, we are proud to join forces once again for gray whale conservation. Through our latest collaboration beer, Baja Breach West Coast IPA, we are spotlighting Laguna San Ignacio, the last undeveloped gray whale nursery on Earth, to inspire our community to protect our oceans and the wildlife that depends on them. Scroll on to learn more about WILDCOAST, the work they do, and to donate directly to their gray whale conservation efforts!
Baja Breach will be available at all Pure Project taprooms and at select retailers starting October 15, 2026.
WILDCOAST works to safeguard the world’s last undeveloped gray whale nursery in Laguna San Ignacio by establishing conservation easements across hundreds of thousands of coastal acres to prevent mega-resorts, industrial development, and habitat destruction.
Across the U.S., Mexico, and beyond, WILDCOAST works on the front lines to protect irreplaceable coastal and ocean habitats. By partnering directly with local communities, managing protected marine areas, restoring carbon-capturing mangroves, stopping marine debris at the source, and advocating for climate resilience, WILDCOAST turns local grassroots action into global conservation impact.
By empowering indigenous leaders, coastal residents, and youth to become stewards of their own natural resources, WILDCOAST ensures that environmental protections are both long-lasting and equitable. Their hands-on approach bridges critical ecological research with policy changes, establishing a resilient network of protected seascapes that safeguard vital wildlife while securing the livelihoods of coastal communities for generations to come.
Why WILDCOAST? Because they believe protecting our oceans means empowering the coastal communities who rely on them.
