Log Cabin Release + Festivities

Log Cabin lovers, prepare yourselves. This year’s Log Cabin release will see three different variants: each aged in a different type of bourbon barrel. And to celebrate, we’ll have Log Cabin festivities through the weekend!

With the current restrictions still in place, we are not able to throw our normal big Log Cabin Day event. This year, it will be biergarten style (non-ticketed event) at our Miramar and Vista locations starting Saturday, June 12th. There will be a specialty barrel-aged tap list at each site, food vendors, and a specialty log cabin glass bundle available.

Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout with Maple Syrup & Cocoa
11.3% ABV

Three variations, each aged in a different type of bourbon barrel:

• 1792 Full Proof
• Blanton’s Mash Bill #2
• Weller Full Proof

Imagine yourself in a log cabin in the woods, cozied up next to a smoldering fire with the smell of charred pine and fresh rain wafting through the air. Now, here is the perfect accompaniment for such an occasion: our fourth annual batch of Log Cabin, a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with organic Vermont maple syrup and organic Ghanaian cocoa. This year, we made three variants, each aged in a different type of bourbon barrel. The nuances of each barrel translate into complex and pronounced differences between variants; the trio makes for a unique tasting to enjoy on a leisurely day at your cabin in the woods.

1792 Full Proof:

This round and full-bodied brew imparts aromas of toffee, charred wood, and pecan that give way to flavors of chocolate cream pie, mocha, and burnt caramel.

Blanton’s Mash Bill #2:

Scents of vanilla, maple, and baking spices lead to a velvety soft stout bursting with notes of snickerdoodle cookies, chopped cherries, and black treacle.

Weller Full Proof:

Essences of dark cocoa powder, vanilla-forward oak, and caramel abound. A rich, decadent body allows for flavors of brownie pudding and marshmallow to linger on the tongue.

SEARCHING FOR THE SOUND

Wine Barrel-Aged Sour with Cherries & Raspberries
7% ABV

In the innovative spirit of our barrel-aged beer program, we proudly present Searching for the Sound. This sour ale was aged for a year in plum wine barrels from our friends at Mission Trails. The addition of organic raspberries and organic dark sweet cherries from Washington contribute to its deep coral color and light pink head. Aromas and flavors of cherry pie filling, cinnamon, and bright raspberry dance on the palette and groove their way through a medium body with moderate acidity.

TAPROOM RELEASE DETAILS

All bottles will be released at our four taproom locations on Thursday, June 10th. They will be released online at 9am and will be available for pickup at taprooms when they open: 12pm at Miramar, Balboa Park, and Carlsbad, and 3pm at Vista. In other words, you can purchase online OR in person, but please note the bottles will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis starting with the online orders at 9am.

If you would like to order and pay online for pickup, please place your order at the location where you plan to pickup.

• Your order is not complete until you check out (no orders are held in shopping cart).
• At time of purchase you can select your pickup day: same day, next day, or two days out. You must pick up on your selected day and time.
• If you would like to designate someone else to pickup your order, please place your online order under their name. The name of the person picking up needs to match the name on the order.
