BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL Can Release Thursday, July 9th at all tap room locations!
BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL – a beer collaboration initiated by Weathered Souls Brewing Co. – is a collaborative effort to raise awareness for the injustices people of color face daily and we are proud to support this initiative.
Proceeds from this beer will be donated, on a national scale, to NAACP to help further their mission to ensure political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination. On a local level we will be donating to Project New Village here in San Diego who’s goal it is to improve fresh food access in Southeastern San Diego as part of a broad-based movement to build social equity, giving way to healthy neighborhoods. Food Justice is Social Justice.
RELEASE DETAILS:
The cans will be released at all 3 tap room locations on Thursday, July 9th.
They will be released online at 10am, and they will be available for pickup at all 3 tap room locations starting when our tap rooms open at 11am. In other words, you can purchase online OR in person, but please note the cans will be sold on a first come, first served basis starting with the online orders at 10am.

–At time of purchase you can select your pickup day (same day, next day or 2 days out).In this case with the sale on Thursday, you could select to pick up Thursday, Friday or Saturday. You must pick up on your day & time selected as orders will be prepped for your arrival.
-If you would like for a proxy to pick up your order, then please place your online order under your proxy’s name. The name of the person picking up needs to match the name of the person on the order.
BEER DETAILS:
We are excited to release our version of Black is Beautiful – a beer collaboration initiated by Weathered Souls Brewing Company – to raise awareness for the injustices people of color face daily. We wanted to bring you something a bit different from our traditional “pastry” stouts for this special collaboration. This hop-forward Imperial Stout pours with a chestnut brown hue and tan head, standing strong with complex malt flavors, pronounced hop character, and a dry finish. Notes of dark chocolate, pine, spicy rye, and moderate roastiness balance each other to create a lasting impression long after the sip.
