Triple Can Release: Fernprost, Transdimensional, & Widened Horizons

We’re coming at you with another triple can release! First up, we’re excited to release a new Vienna Lager, a perfect complement to the Oktoberfest season. Also for release is a brand new West Coast double IPA, as well as the return of a favorite murky double IPA collaboration with Vitamin Sea Brewing.

The cans will be released on Thursday, September 23rd at all four taproom locations as well as for CA & NV shipping. Check out all the details below.

FERNPROST

Vienna Lager
5.1% ABV

In celebration of the Oktoberfest season, we proudly present Fernprost. This Vienna Lager is built on a blend of Weyermann Vienna malt from Germany and Admiral Pilsner malt from California, and hopped with Saaz in the whirlpool. We utilized a traditional decoction method for the mash where we removed a portion, boiled it, then returned it back to the mash tun. This process allows the mash to hit two different temperatures, which develops malt character, depth, and superior foam. Fernprost was fermented cold with our house lager strain, and naturally carbonated through spunding. It pours a light copper color, and exudes aromas of freshly baked bread along with a floral, spicy hop character. Flavors reminiscent of toast, bread dough and orange zest frolic on the tongue amidst a creamy mouthfeel with subtle bitterness. Fernprost is named after an exclamation combining the German words “fern” (far) and “prost” (cheers); let’s raise a glass of this one to those celebrating Oktoberfest both near and far.

West Coast Double IPA with Nelson Sauvin, Amarillo, & Cascade Cryo Hops
8.5% ABV

Fruity hop character meets dry bitterness in our newest West Coast double IPA, Transdimensional. Dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Amarillo, and Cascade Cryo hops, this golden-colored creation delivers a multitude of aromas including pine, pineapple, white wine, and plum. Expect flavors of resin, lychee, and pomelo to follow on the palate. Transport your senses into another dimension at first sip; you won’t want to come back.

WIDENED HORIZONS

Murky Double IPA with Riwaka, Citra, & Cashmere Hops
8.3% ABV

Dawn breaks again on Widened Horizons, our murky double IPA collaboration with our friends at Vitamin Sea Brewing in Massachusetts. We chose some of our favorite hops for this soft and juicy collaboration including Riwaka, Citra, and Cashmere. A fruit bowl of flavors and aromas ensue; juicy white peach, freshly squeezed orange juice and ripe mango reach the nose, while strawberry, mangosteen and soft grapefruit float on the tongue. Expand your view of what’s possible for a modern murky double IPA.

TAPROOM RELEASE DETAILS

The cans will be released at all four taproom locations on Thursday, September 23rd. They will be released online at 9am, and they will be available for pickup at all four taproom locations when our taprooms open at 12pm (Miramar, Balboa Park, and Carlsbad) and 3pm (Vista). In other words, you can purchase online OR in person, but please note the cans will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis starting with the online orders at 9am.

If you would like to order and pay online for pickup, please place your order at the location where you plan to pickup.

• At time of purchase you can select your pickup day: same day, next day, or two days out. You must pick up on your selected day and time.
• If you would like to designate someone else to pickup your order, please place your online order under their name. The name of the person picking up needs to match the name on the order.
